Dialogs for Confluence provides a macro that allows you to add any Confluence content into macros that add a button to a Confluence page to opens a Confluence dialog that shows either Confluence or remote content. To make use of the macros click the “Insert” / “+” Button in the edit mode and select the “Dialogs for Confluence” macro. You can now enter your Confluence content as macro body and add a text for the button to open the dialog in the macro options. The macro options also provide settings to define the dialog sizeone of the macros described below.

Macro “Dialog“

The macro “Dialog” accepts the Confluence content that is shown in the dialog as macro body and supports the following options:

  • Text: Define the text on the button that opens the dialog.

  • Dialog width: Defines the width of the dialog.

  • Dialog height: Defines the height of the dialog.

  • Dialog title: Defines the title of the dialog.

  • Dialog size: If set to “fullscreen” a fullscreen dialog is opened and the options “Dialog width“ and “Dialog height“ are ignored.

Macro “Dialog (remote)”

Please note that some website does not allow iFrame loading. Those websites are not supported.

The macro “Dialog (remote)” shows a remote URL (as iFrame) in the dialog and supports the following options:

  • URL: URL to load the remote content from.

  • Text: Define the text on the button that opens the dialog.

  • Dialog width: Defines the width of the dialog.

  • Dialog height: Defines the height of the dialog.

  • Dialog title: Defines the title of the dialog.

  • Dialog size: If set to “fullscreen” a fullscreen dialog is opened and the options “Dialog width“ and “Dialog height“ are ignored.
