At weweave, we commit ourselves to protecting your personal information in all conscience. This document describes what we do to protect your data and how we process it. By visiting our websites or by using our services or by submitting personal information to weweave through our websites and services, you are consenting to the collection, use, transfer and disclosure of information as described in this document.

When using the terms “us”, “we” or “weweave” in this document, it refers to our company: weweave UG (limited liability), Fichtenweg 8d, 65510 Idstein, Germany.

“Personal information” refers to information that identifies you personally, either alone or in combination with other information available.

Where we process personal information

We collect and process personal information in the following scopes and services:

  • License purchase

    • Email address

    • Firstname and lastname

    • Company

    • Phone Number

    • Address

  • Contact form (accessible through our support center) & requests via email

    • Email address

  • Atlassian and monday.com apps

    • Instance identifier (such as a base URL)

    • App version and license status

    • Content from your instance, where technically necessary to provide a feature

For the first two scopes, we act as the controller. For data processed by our apps, you act as the controller and we act as your processor.

License purchase

For reasons of simplicity and convenience, our software and services are distributed through our brokers.

  • When purchasing license for our Atlassian apps, Atlassian Pty Ltd acts as broker.

  • When purchasing license for our monday.com apps, monday.com Ltd. acts as broker.

When purchasing a service or a product through one of our brokers, the broker acts on its own behalf. This means, there’s a contract between you and the broker and you will receive an invoice directly from the broker.

After you have completed a purchase through one of our brokers, the broker sends relevant order details to us via e-mail or to our servers using an automated technical interface. The following personal information is being transmitted and processed by us in this case:

  • Email address

  • Firstname and lastname

  • Company

  • Phone Number

  • Address

  • Purchase details (product, prices, …)

We do not carry out any profiling with your personal information.

Contact form and requests via email

By submitting a request to us using one of the provided contact forms or the support e-mail address, an email to our support team will be generated. The mail is stored in the mailbox of our support team. We will only use the submitted information to solve your request and to answer your questions. We will not transfer your personal data to any third parties without your explicit confirmation.

We use Google Workspace, a productivity and email service provided by Google Cloud EMEA Limited, 70 Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Google"). Google acts as our processor under Art. 28 GDPR on the basis of the Cloud Data Processing Addendum (https://cloud.google.com/terms/data-processing-addendum), which incorporates the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Information on Google's processing of service data is available in the Google Cloud Privacy Notice (https://cloud.google.com/terms/cloud-privacy-notice).

We use “Jira Service Management”, a service desk provided by Atlassian Pty Ltd (“Atlassian”). When you submit a request through our contact form on Atlassian Marketplace pages, our support center, or by emailing a @weweave.atlassian.net address, your data will be stored and processed on Atlassian's servers worldwide in accordance with Atlassian’s privacy policy https://www.atlassian.com/legal/privacy-policy.

E-mails sent to support@weweave.net are automatically forwarded to an @weweave.atlassian.net address and therefore processed by both parties (Google and Atlassian) as described above.

Our Atlassian and monday.com apps

This section describes how personal information is processed when you install and use one of our apps in your Atlassian or monday.com instance.

When you use one of our apps, the data held in your Atlassian or monday.com instance remains under your control. We only process this data on your instructions and for the purpose of providing the app's functionality. We do not use it for our own purposes, we do not sell it, we do not use it for profiling, and we do not use it to train machine learning or AI models.

Our apps are designed to keep processing as close to the platform as possible. The majority of the data our apps work with is therefore processed within the infrastructure of Atlassian or monday.com and never leaves it. Only where it is technically necessary to provide a particular feature is data transmitted to servers operated by weweave. These servers are located in Germany, and any such transmission takes place exclusively over encrypted connections. Data processed on our servers is not stored any longer than the feature requires.

When an app is installed, updated or uninstalled, Atlassian or monday.com may transmit technical installation data to us, including an instance identifier, the instance base URL, the app version, and the license status. We use this data to operate the app, to verify licenses and to provide support.

General information

We will not forward any of your personal information to third parties without your express consent.

We would like to expressly point out that the transmission of data via the Internet (e.g., by e-mail) can offer security vulnerabilities. We do our best to protect your information from these vulnerabilities by consistently providing and using all of our services over HTTPS and encrypting your information whenever possible (i.e. when performing database backups). However, it is impossible to safeguard the data completely against access by third parties. We cannot assume any liability for damages arising as a result of such security vulnerabilities.

The use by third parties of all published contact details for the purpose of advertising is expressly excluded. We reserve the right to take legal steps in the case of the unsolicited sending of advertising information; e.g., by means of spam mail.

At any time, you can request a copy of your personal data stored at weweave which we will provide in a structured format (such as JSON or XML). Furthermore, you can request the deletion of this data via email at any time.

A complete overview of all service providers we engage as processors is available in our weweave subprocessor-list.
